Steve O’Brien of Mount Pleasant, S.C., currently is president of the South Carolina USBC and first vice president for the Greater Charleston USBC. He started with the Greater Charleston USBC as an associate director in 1990 and became a director the following year. He has served the Greater Charleston USBC Youth Association as a director (1996-2006) and president (2006-2008). He was elected to the Greater Charleston USBC Bowling Association Hall of Fame in September 2007. He joined the Greater Charleston Junior Bowling Association board in 1996 and served on the board for 12 years. He served on all committees, including 12 years on the Legislative committee. He put together the GCJBA Operating Procedures Manual, as well as starting programs such as The Youth Leader of the Year, The Youth City All Star Team, and the GCJBA Hall of Fame. He served as the chairperson of the hall of fame committee. O’Brien was elected to the Greater Charleston USBC Youth Association Hall of Fame in December 2007. He currently works for RPWB Law Firm as Courier/Logistics Support. |
