Omaha, Neb., to host 2015 USBC Convention

ARLINGTON, Texas – The 2015 United States Bowling Congress Convention and Annual Meeting will shift to Omaha, Neb., and will take place April 27-30.

The 2015 USBC Convention will take place at the Ramada Plaza Omaha, and also will start a day earlier than previously announced. The final day of the Annual Meeting, which includes the legislative session, will take place Thursday, April 30. The convention originally was scheduled for Indianapolis.

“We had an outstanding convention in 2014 and we’re excited to take the 2015 USBC Convention to a site that is centrally located,” said USBC Executive Director Chad Murphy. “We have worked closely with the Ramada Plaza Omaha to provide a venue that will be cost-effective for the delegates and we apologize for any inconvenience we might have caused by making the venue change.”

The USBC Convention features seminars, updates from industry leaders and the presentation of national awards. Delegates to the Annual Meeting vote on USBC Board of Director positions and legislative proposals.

Las Vegas will serve as host city for the 2016 and 2017 conventions. The convention in 2016 coincides with the opening of the new $30 million bowling tournament facility at South Point Hotel and Casino that will be the site of the 2016 USBC Women’s Championships.
