Queens, Senior Queens set guaranteed brackets for 2015

ARLINGTON, Texas - The United States Bowling Congress Queens and Senior Queens will feature guaranteed brackets when the 2015 events are conducted in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in May.

The Queens will advance 64 players to the double-elimination match-play bracket, while the Senior Queens will have a 32-player bracket. Both events will take place May 13-19 at Ashwaubenon Bowl.

"It was important for us to show USBC's commitment to these prestigious events by guaranteeing the number of players who will advance to the match-play brackets," USBC Executive Director Chad Murphy said. "USBC is committed to showcasing women's bowling and to our Queens and Senior Queens bowlers."

Each event will have at least a 1:3 cashing ratio and each participant who reaches the match-play bracket will cash.

The finals of the Queens will be broadcast live on ESPN2 on May 19, while the Senior Queens finals will be broadcast live on BOWL.com's BowlTV. All rounds leading up to the TV show for the Queens will also be broadcast on BowlTV.

The Queens, which is open to any USBC female member, will celebrate its 55th anniversary in 2015, while the Senior Queens, open to any USBC female member age 50 and above, will be conducted for the 16th time.

Registration for the 2015 Queens and Senior Queens is now open. Players can find more information at BOWL.com/Queens and BOWL.com/SeniorQueens.
