The Martin Methodist men and Pikeville women captured wins at the Thomas Burris Memorial in Lexington, Kentucky, this past weekend.

The Martin Methodist men found themselves down by more than 100 pins to Morehead State after five traditional games, but they rallied during the event's 12 Baker games at Eastland Lanes to erase the deficit and take the title with a 6,773 total. Morehead State finished second with 6,695, and Lindenwood-Belleville took third place with 6,654.

Morehead State's Cory Schultz was the only player to average more than 200 for the five traditional games, earning the top individual spot on the men's side with a 1,051 total, a 210.2 average. Lindenwood-Belleville's Scott Hill was second with 968, while Eli Kapres of Lindsey Wilson was third with 952.

On the women's side, Pikeville recorded a wire-to-wire victory and finished the tournament with a 6,607 total. Campbellsville (6,492) and Union (6,047) finished second and third, respectively.

Campbellsville's Bailey James (948) edged Pikeville's Angel West (942) to finish at the top of the women's individual standings. Martin Methodist's Alex Patterson was third with 918.

In other USBC Collegiate action over the weekend:

- At the Prairie View A&M Invitational in Arlington, Texas, Nebraska rallied from being down 3-1 in the championship match to defeat Arkansas State, 4-3.

- At the Red Flash Invitational in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Kutztown knocked off St. Francis-Pennsylvania in the title tilt, 4-2.

- At the American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference No. 3 in Wickliffe, Ohio, the Notre Dame-Ohio men and Wright State women cruised to easy wins.

- At the Westchester Shootout, the Schenectady men and women swept the titles.

- At the Bulldog Classic in Richmond, Kentucky, the Pikeville women and Morehead State men paced the way in the standings.

- At the American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference No. 4 in Wickliffe, Ohio, the Wright State women rolled to the win, while the Notre Dame-Ohio men recorded the victory by a single pin over Marian.

- At the Westchester Classic, the Cayuga men and Corning women locked up titles.
