USBC SHOOT-OUT – Sunset Station Hotel and Casino – September 1-3, 2013
Format
- All bowlers entered in the 2013 USBC Queens are automatically entered.
- All bowlers are placed in one of the following four divisions:
- Division 1: International
- Division 2: Collegiate/Youth
- Division 3: New bowlers
- Division 4: All other bowlers
- Division assignments will be posted in the tournament office by September 1.
- Bowlers who qualify in more than one of the divisions will be placed in a division by the tournament director with the goal of balancing out the divisions as best as possible, while placing each bowler in the most appropriate division. All decisions made by the tournament director are final.
- Total pinfall for 15 games of qualifying in 2013 USBC Queens will be used. If no entrant in any specific division advances to the cashers round, then total pinfall from 10 games of qualifying will be used. If there is a tie, high qualifying block will be used until the tie is broken.
- The top qualifying score in each of the four division advances to the USBC Shoot-Out, to be held immediately before match play begins on September 3.
- The semifinals will pit the winner of Division 1 against the winner of Division 2 and also the winner of Division 3 against the winner of Division 4. The winners of each semifinal match will meet in the finals. All matches are single-game, single- elimination format.
- Ties in the USBC Shoot-Out will be broken by one-ball roll-off. Bowler with higher qualifying score will have lane choice and decision to start or finish the roll-off.
Division Eligibility
- Division 1: International
- Bowlers who have citizenship with a non-American country.
- Division 2: Collegiate/Youth
- Bowlers who bowled collegiately or held a USBC Youth membership in the 2012-13 season.
- Division 3: New bowlers
- Bowlers who did not bowl the USBC Queens in 2009, 2010, 2011 or 2012.
- Division 4: All other bowlers
- Bowlers who do not fit in any of the other divisions.
