About USBC AmbassadorsThe United States Bowling Congress is proud to announce the re-launch of the USBC Ambassador program, which brings some of the biggest stars in the sport to speak at your event or conduct a coaching clinic at your center. This year, 2007 Women’s World Champion Shannon O’Keefe, Hall of Famer Wendy MacPherson, reigning PBA Player of the Year Wes Malott, former PBA Rookie of the Year Rhino Page and others join a roster of USBC Ambassadors throughout the country that includes Chris Barnes, Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, Tommy Jones and many more. To request an appearance by a USBC Ambassador, email ambassador@bowl.com with information about when and where your event is scheduled, whether you will need an ambassador in a coaching or a speaking capacity, and the names of any specific ambassadors that you are particularly interested in.

Bill O’NeillSouthampton, Penn.
Nicknamed “the real deal,” Bill has made an immediate presence on the Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour. He made nearly $100,000 and appeared on 7 shows in 2008-09. Bill is a living testament for the abilities of certified youth bowling, having progressed through High School and Collegiate bowling programs. He was a three-time BWAA Collegiate Bowler of the Year and two-time NCBCA Most Valuable Player. He was named Rookie of the Year in 2005-06 on the PBA Tour and is a current member of Team USA.
Carolyn Dorin-BallardKeller, Texas
Carolyn was a 20-time winner on the PWBA Tour. Seven of her titles came in 2001 when she tied the record for most titles in a season. Among those wins was the Women’s International Bowling Congress (now USBC) Queens. She joined the PBA shortly after the PWBA ceased operations in 2003 and competes regularly in regional and national events. In 2006, her “Together Once Again” team won the USBC Women’s Championships Classic Division title with a record 3,350 total. In August of 2005, she rolled back-to-back 300 games in a PBA regional event. Prior to joining the professional ranks, she was a three-time All-American at West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M) and was a standout bowler at Linden High School in Linden, N.J. She has two career PBA Women’s Series titles and is a member of the USBC Hall of Fame.
Diandra AsbatyChicago
Already a member of the World Bowling Writers Hall of Fame, Diandra has collected over 50 medals in international competition, including gold in the Masters division at the 2007 World Women’s Championships. An 11 time member of Team USA, Asbaty capped off 2006 – a year which saw her claim her second U.S. Amateur title – by winning the QubicaAMF World Cup in Venezuela. Diandra also reigned supreme over world competition winning the Masters gold medal at the 2003 World Championships in Malaysia. While at the University of Nebraska, she helped lead the Cornhuskers to two national championships and was a two-time, first-team All-American, including being named Collegiate Player of the Year in the 1999-2000 season. She owns one title on the PBA Women’s Series. Diandra is also a USBC-certified Silver Level coach.
Kim Terrell-KearneyGrand Prairie, Texas
A 16-year veteran of the former PWBA Tour, Kim won nine titles, including two majors – the 2001 Women’s U.S. Open and the 2002 Women’s International Bowling Congress Queens. She added another major in 2008, capturing the U.S. Women’s Open title for the second time. She was named the PWBA’s Rookie of the Year in 1989. Prior to joining the pro ranks, she established herself in the bowling world as a collegiate bowler at San Jose State University, earning All-America honors twice. Following her collegiate success, she represented her country internationally for three seasons as a member of Team USA. She has three medals at the international level. She was a member of the 2007 USBC Women’s Championships team division champions. Since 2004, Kim has served as an assistant coach for Junior Team USA. In 1991, Kim was inducted into the San Francisco Black Sports Hall of Fame and was also named its athlete of the year that same year.
Rhino PageWesley Chapel, Fla.
Rhino is a six time member of Team USA (2004-09) and was the 2005 U.S. Amateur champion. He has two career PBA Tour titles. Rhino made five television shows during his rookie season, breaking several PBA rookie records en route to the 2007-08 Rookie of the Year award. He won two gold medals, including a pressure-packed team event in which he sealed the gold for Team USA in a sudden-death rolloff against Korea at the 2008 WTBA Men’s World Championships. He also added two silver medals at the tournament.
Stefanie NationArlington, Texas
Stefanie is one of bowling’s brightest young stars. Stefanie has won three U.S. Junior Amateur titles from 2003 to 2005, and was also the youngest to earn a spot on Junior Team USA in 2000 when she was just 15 years old. She has been on Team USA since 2004 where she has won over 15 medals in International competitions; the most recent of those was a Gold medal in the 2009 Singles competition at the WTBA Women’s World Championships in Las Vegas. Stefanie captured her first PBA Women’s Series title at the 2008 Pepsi Viper Championships and was a runner up again twice that season. She is an alumnus at the University of Central Florida where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and her Master’s Degree in Interpersonal Communication. While attending, she received All-American honors all four years and was named the 2006 Player of the Year her senior year. Stefanie, a USBC Bronze level coach, now works in the Specifications/Certifications department at USBC.
Walter Ray Williams Jr.Ocala, Fla.
By winning his 42nd career Denny’s PBA Tour title in the 2006 Dydo Japan Cup, Walter Ray passed bowling legend Earl Anthony to become the tour’s all-time titlist. He now owns 45 career titles. Among his seven major titles is the 2004 (Jan.) USBC Masters. Williams is the PBA’s all-time earnings leader with more than $4 million and he has won at least one PBA Tour title in 16 straight seasons, which is also a record. He is a six-time PBA Player of the Year, Harry Smith Point Leader Award and George Young High Average Award winner. He has been named Bowling Writers Association of America Bowler of the Year a record seven times. He is a USBC Hall of Famer and a current member of Team USA.
Wes MalottPflugerville, Texas
A first time Team USA member in 2009, Wes Malott has made his presence known on the PBA Tour as well. Wes owns six career Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour titles, with three having come during the 2008-09 season. He also earned the George Young High Average award during that season. Wes has amassed more than $600,000 in career earnings on the national tour and has been named to the Bowlers Journal International All-America team twice (2006-07, 2007-08).
Bob Learn Jr.Arlington, Texas
The former PBA Tour veteran began his professional bowling career at the age of 18. In 1992 his career blossomed when he won his first PBA Tour title eventually winning a total of five tour events before his retirement. One of his biggest thrills was winning the Flagship Open in an arena setting in his hometown of Erie, Pa. He was the 1996 ESPY Award winner for bowling. For several years Bob held the record for the most career USBC-certified 300 games. Currently he works as a Coaching specialist for USBC, conducting seminars and clinics which involve bringing together local associations volunteers, proprietors and bowling center employees throughout the U.S.
Chris BarnesDouble Oak, Texas
Chris is one of the sport’s brightest stars on the Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour. The right-hander has earned 12 PBA titles including two majors and won two consecutive PBA Motel 6 Roll to Riches titles worth $200,000 each (2005-06). Prior to making his mark as a professional, he was a standout amateur bowler at Wichita State University and a five-time member of USBC Team USA. He has won two PBA major championships on USBC Sport Bowling lane conditions. Chris was the 1998 PBA Rookie of the Year and earned the George Young High Average and Harry Smith Point Leader Awards in 2000. He also won PBA Player of the Year honors in 2007-08, making him only the third player to win Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors. Chris was a six-time gold medalist with USBC Team USA from 1994-97 and as a result earned the United States Olympic Committee’s Athlete of the Year for bowling during that timeframe. Chris is a USBC Silver level certified coach.
Kelly KulickUnion, N.J.
A Team USA member from 1998 to 2001, Kelly made history and grabbed headlines from across the nation in June 2006 when she became the first woman to earn a Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour exemption, finishing sixth at the Tour Trials on the strength of a 300 game on the final day. She was a rising star on the PWBA Tour before it ceased operations in 2003, winning the 2003 Women’s U.S. Open and being named 2001 Rookie of the Year. Kelly added another major to her resume, winning the 2007 USBC Queens. Kelly won the singles gold medal in the 1999 World Championships with Team USA. She also starred at Morehead State University, where she was a two-time Collegiate Bowler of the Year and two-time All-American.
Parker Bohn IIIJackson, N.J.
Parker is one of the most prolific bowlers in the history of the Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour. The 25-year veteran has won 32 titles in his career, which ranks as fifth most all time. He won the 2001 USBC Masters for his lone major title. Throughout his career, Parker has been a regular face on the weekly PBA telecasts. For the past 20 seasons, he has appeared in a championship round at least twice each season. Bohn has earned nearly $2.6 million in prize money over his career. A member of the PBA Hall of Fame, Parker is a two-time PBA Player of the Year, Harry Smith Point Leader and George Young High Average Award winner. He has won PBA’s Steve Nagy Sportsmanship Award four times. He was also inducted to the USBC Hall of Fame in 2008.
Shannon O’KeefeArlington, Texas
Shannon is a six-time member of Team USA. She finished runner-up at the 2007 U.S. Women’s Open and placed fifth at the 2007 USBC Queens. She was the 2008 USBC Team USA Trials champion, and also named to the 2007-08 Bowlers Journal International All-America team. She was also a finalist for the 2007 Harry Glickman Professional Athlete of the Year Award. Shannon is also an employee at USBC Headquarters in Texas.
Tommy JonesSimpsonville, S.C.
Tommy has clearly established himself as one of the top players on the Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour. After winning four titles in the 2005-06 season, including his first major title at the U.S. Open, he became just the second player to earn both PBA Player of the Year honors and PBA Rookie of the Year (2001-02) honors in a career. He added a second major in 2007 (Tournament of Champions) and now owns 12 PBA tour titles. A standout shortstop and pitcher for four years in high school, Tommy earned a spot on Team USA in 1996 at the age of 17. He is a current member of Team USA. He has earned more than $1 million so far in his short career.
Wendy MacphersonHenderson, Nev.
Wendy is a USBC Hall of Famer and a two-time member of Team USA. She owns 20 PWBA titles and is an exempt player on the PBA Women’s Series. She was the first woman to win a title at the USBC Open Championships (2006 Regular Singles). Her professional resume is impressive. She won the U.S. Women’s Open at the age of 18 and was named Woman Bowler of the Year four times. She is the all-time PWBA earnings leader.
