Robert Morris, Pikeville top coaches' poll

ARLINGTON, Texas - Robert Morris-Illinois men's team received 21 of 24 first-place votes to claim the top ranking in the first National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association poll of the 2011-12 season, while Pikeville holds the top spot in the women's division.

Robert Morris received 934 total points to easily outdistance Lindenwood (730 points), William Penn (710), Morehead State (624) and Wichita State (584).

Pikeville had 10 first-place votes to edge Lindenwood for the top spot in the women's poll. Pikeville received 784 points while Lindenwood, which received eight first-place votes, had 758 points. Rounding out the top five were Wichita State, Robert Morris-Illinois and Webber International.
