Women’s Championships online registration
The 2013 Women’s Championships online registration system is now live on BOWL.com/tournaments, or by clicking here. The new system will allow team captains to adjust rosters and make other changes without picking up the phone or mailing a letter. They also will be able to make payments and select squad days and times immediately based on what’s still available.

Squad reservations will be on a first-come, first-served basis. USBC will work to accommodate team captains requesting the same date each year (preferred teams), provided they make reservations before May 1, 2012.

National tournaments information for 2013 Convention attendees
Prospective 2013 USBC Convention attendees who might want to bowl in the 2013 Open Championships or 2013 Women’s Championships on one of the corresponding weekends or during the 2013 Convention in Reno, Nev., should please note you will want to pay your deposits as soon as possible to reserve your preferred date.

With the new online registration system for the events, all interested team captains will be able to sign in, and dates and times will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

In order to lock-in a team date and time, a deposit must be paid. While this does guarantee you will have a spot for doubles and singles the next day, you will not be able to pick your D/S squad time until the entire balance has been paid.

International Bowling Campus closed next Friday
The International Bowling Campus will be closed Friday, April 6. We will resume normal business hours starting Monday, April 9.

Bowl for the Cure success stories
It’s almost time for Meet for the Cure at the annual USBC Convention. This year, we will feature several USBC Associations’ Bowl for the Cure success stories. If your association held a Bowl for the Cure event this past season, please email a recap of your event, total funds raised and high resolution photos to Dania Lee at dania.lee@bowl.com.

The submissions will be selected at random, so we cannot guarantee that every association will be featured. Thank you for supporting Bowl for the Cure and joining us in the fight to end breast cancer forever. We look forward to seeing everyone in April.

USA Bowling Summer Camps program

Guides and resources for USA Bowling Summer Camps are now available. These camps are excellent ways to help a center in your area build their youth program.

Designed for beginners to advanced skill levels, USA Bowling Summer Camps were created with every child in mind. Step-by-step how-to guides and more than 100 pages of coaches’ curriculum are available on the Youth Resource Center to begin developing a successful camp your area this summer. Follow the guides or use the curriculum and you can customize your own camp.

Any associations that have further questions or need assistance can contact Program Manager Emily Maier at emaier@ibcyouth.com or by phone at 817-385-8339.
