New USBC Youth jersey is unveiled

ARLINGTON, Texas - United States Bowling Congress Youth members had a chance to help decide the style of  jersey they will sport on the lanes for the 2012-13 season, and soon they will add the new look to their collection.

The USBC Youth jersey is one of the benefits for USBC Youth Standard members. The latest version of the popular jersey will be sent to youth bowlers who purchased their membership through leagues that began after March 15, 2012.

USBCYouthJersey2012This is the third design of the jersey, but this time around USBC Youth members were able to help select the style. The youth members were sent a survey that featured several design options and voters overwhelmingly selected the design that is predominately black and white, with red highlighting the USBC Youth "star" logo on the athletic jersey.

The jerseys once again have that professional look with the inclusion of logos from two of bowling's top ball brands - Storm and Ebonite - on the sleeves.

"The jerseys have been a hit since they debuted a few seasons ago," said International Bowling Campus Managing Director of Youth Development Chad Murphy. "This year, we wanted the kids who will be wearing them to have a say in the look. We had several great designs to offer and most everyone agreed on this design."

Adult Leaders and others can go to USBCSportStore.com to purchase their jerseys. The jerseys once again will have an open design on the back so they can be personalized by leagues and individuals.

USBC started the jersey program as part of USBC Youth Standard membership at the start of the 2009-10 season.
