Setup Tips for Entry-Level Bowlers

A lot of entry-level bowlers just grab their bowling balls off the ball return and begin walking toward the foul line without stopping. This isn't the way to go. If you're going to deliver a good shot, you need to take at least a second or two getting your body ready for action.

When your turn comes, pick up your ball and step onto the approach. Before beginning your approach, take a second or two to get your body into an athletic position. Bend your knees a little bit. Don't stand straight up or hunch way over, and keep your arms firm without being stiff. In essence, just make sure you feel ready for action. Once you feel comfortable, deliver your shot.
