2010 ITC finals set

EL PASO, Texas - The 2010 United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships finals are set as Wichita State and Calumet College will face off for the men's title and McKendree and Webber International will battle for the women's crown at the El Paso Convention and Performing Arts Center at 2 p.m. MDT.

Both men's teams remained undefeated on their way to the title match. Wichita State, who is looking for its third-consecutive and record 10th national championship, dispatched of Saginaw Valley State 4-0, while Calumet College, making its first championship appearance, defeated Lindenwood in the final game for a 4-3 victory.

On the women's side, McKendree defeated defending champions Wichita State 4-2 to earn their second appearance in the title match. Webber International, a first-year program, needed every game possible to reach the finals. Coming from the contender's bracket, Webber International had to defeat Robert Morris twice in the double-elimination format to earn its spot in the final, taking the first set 4-3 and the second 4.5-3.5.

The tape-delayed finals will be a best-of-three, winner-take-all format. You can see which two teams will be hoisting the Helmer Cup on ESPN2 on May 5 at 9 p.m. EDT.
