USBC Senior Championships

The first United States Bowling Congress Senior Championships will be held March 14-15, 2006 at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev. The event formerly was known as the American Bowling Congress and Women's International Bowling Congress Senior Championships.
Also for the first time, bowlers age 75 and older will be able to compete in their own class. The Super Seniors was created to meet entrant requests. Previously, these bowlers competed in Class A with bowlers at least age 70. Another change will be the tournament will feature two divisions - Open for men and women and Women's. Prior to the USBC merger, these two divisions competed in separate tournaments. ABC's Senior Championships had been open to women as well as men.
The USBC Senior Championships is a handicapped singles event. The entry fee is $140 per participant. For more information, call (800) 514-BOWL, ext. 3152 or stay tuned to this Web site.
- Senior bowlers become eligible for the USBC Senior Championships by entering their state association senior tournaments.
- To qualify for the USBC Senior Championships a bowler must have won the state association senior handicap all-events division in his/her respective age class.
- Bowlers interested in entering their state senior tournament should contact the state association manager.
