Jim Decker of Rohnert Park, California, is president of the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America after serving as president-elect, vice president and secretary. He owns and operates Double Decker Lanes and is a second-generation proprietor with more than 45 years of experience in the industry. Decker previously served on the BPAA Board as the Pacific Coast Regional Director from 2013 to 2016. In California, he has been part of the Northern California Bowling Centers Board of Directors since 1995, serving two terms as president. He has been recognized with Northern California Bowling Center’s President’s Award (2001, 2006, 2013) and has been named both the California State USBC (2007) and Nor Cal (2010) Proprietor of the Year. Double Decker Lanes became the first bowling center in the nation to utilize solar panels for its primary source of energy in 2002, earning Decker recognition from the California State Assembly as the Green Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005.
