2012 USBC Convention
With Convention week drawing closer, each week we will highlight an event from the 2012 USBC Annual Convention. This week, we look at the Delegate Welcome Reception and Viewing Party.

The evening of Tuesday, April 24, will be highlighted by the USBC Queens Viewing Party and Welcome Reception at the Sheraton's Champions room. We will welcome you to the 2012 USBC Convention with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar while you can cheer for your favorite finalist competing in one of bowling's most prestigious events, aired live on ESPN2.

Registration for the event will be available in the coming weeks. Make sure you check BOWL.com/convention for the tentative Convention schedule.

For those delegates looking into travel, please note that in order to receive the discount with the Sheraton, a phone call must be placed to the hotel directly (817) 261-8200. The discount cannot be used when booking online.

Dexter/USBC High School All-American Team
The deadline to nominate a standout high school bowler for the Dexter/USBC High School All-American Team is rapidly approaching. Selection to the Dexter/USBC High School All-American Team is based on bowling accomplishments, academic achievement, letters of recommendation, extracurricular and community involvement, submitted essays and resumes.

Each year, five male and five female USBC High School members are selected for the Dexter/USBC High School All-American Team and each receives a $1,000 scholarship. The awards will be presented at the North Pointe Junior Gold Championships in Indianapolis, July 14-20.

For more information and nomination forms, go to BOWL.com/highschool. Student-athletes and/or family members may not handle nominations. Coaches or team administrators must nominate eligible contenders and nominations must be postmarked no later than Friday, March 23.
