Catskill, N.Y.  – Ryan Ciminelli of Cheektowaga, N.Y. went 13-3 in match play to record a 69-pin victory over Eddie Torres of Port Ewen, N.Y. in the Professional Bowlers Association East Region 900 Global Open at Catskill Hoe Bowl Sunday.

Ciminelli averaged 249 to lead qualifying and was never overtaken in the round-robin finals. The win was Ciminelli’s seventh career regional title and his third consecutive win in this event. Ciminelli earned $2,500 while Torres, a local amateur entry, earned $1,300 as the runner-up.

The East Region’s next tournament will be the PBA East Region Rockaway Open at Rockaway Lanes in Rockaway, N.J. on April 27-29.
