USBC Youth bowlers witness Kretzer's first PBA title

Five USBC Youth bowlers from Connecticut were on hand to watch Brian Kretzer capture his first career title on the Professional Bowlers Association's Tour on March 21.

Brandon delaCruz (age 15), Joaquin Arroyo (13), Amber Maher (11), Nicole Lassor (18) and Daniel Conde (17) watched Kretzer end his 167-event winless streak by beating Patrick Allen, 629-566, in the three-game title match of the Go RVing Match Play Championship at Norwich Bowling and Entertainment Center in Norwich, Conn.

The USBC Youth were selected to participate in the PBA/United States Bowling Congress Insiders' Tour. The participants had the opportunity to meet their favorite players on the PBA Tour, attend matches and get a behind-the-scenes tour of the PBA event.

Following Sunday's ESPN television finals, the group had their picture taken with Kretzer.

The Insiders' Tour is a joint program of the PBA and USBC. It allows young bowlers to see the world of professional bowling from a unique perspective and gives them an opportunity to meet their heroes.
