In addition to being an outstanding bowler, Mrs. Duval was a noted instructor and clinician. She was instrumental in organizing the highly successful youth bowling program in California and spent much of her time abroad helping organize bowling programs in the Philippines. Duval's biggest year as a competitor came in 1969, when she won both the team and all events titles in the USBC Women's Championships. She won two professional titles, was a four-time finalist in the World's Invitational and a five-time finalist in the BPAA All-Star. In 1961, she won the BPAA national doubles title with Nobu Asami.
