2024 Slated Candidates

The United States Bowling Congress Nominating Committee has slated three candidates for election to the USBC Board of Directors at the 2024 USBC Convention and Annual Meeting.

Delegates will vote to fill three open positions on the USBC Board of Directors. Incumbents Dennis Hacker and Chrissy Lee are among the three slated.


The USBC Nominating Committee, which may slate up to two candidates for each opening, set a slate of three candidates.

Dennis Hacker
Longtown, Missouri


Dennis Hacker is in his sixth year of service on the USBC Board along with his second year as vice president. He has been the Association Manager of the Missouri State USBC since 2019 after serving as a director since 2007. He also is a director on the Cape Girardeau USBC board. Hacker is a USBC Silver coach and led his Jackson High School bowling team to a state championship in 2022. On the lanes, he won the Bowlers Journal singles title in 1986, the New York State Amateur in 2000 and was first alternate for Team USA in 1988. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1981-1993 where he worked as a nuclear electrician on submarines. Bowling for the Navy, he was the All-Navy champion three times over his 12-year career. He attended Southeast Missouri State University and worked as Director of Research for Pinnacle Research Group, an independent full-service market research firm, for 22 years before retiring in 2022. He is a member of the Missouri State and Cape Girardeau USBC Halls of Fame.

Why are you qualified to serve on the USBC Board of Directors?: In my six years of service to our national board, I've honed my skills, becoming a more well-rounded individual.  Immersing myself in the sport has elevated my knowledge, fostering a strategic, long-term perspective.  My approach to problem-solving, especially in the analysis phase, reflects growth.  I prioritize both regular and committee meetings, recognizing their utmost importance in steering the organization.

Being an integral part of the governance of a sport I've cherished throughout my life is a source of immense gratitude.  I actively seek diverse perspectives, believing in their contribution to enhanced decision-making.  My unwavering passion for USBC's mission fuels my dedication to ensuring its continued success.  As I aspire to serve as the organization's President, I bring a wealth of experience, a strategic mindset, and an enduring commitment to advancing the mission and excellence of USBC.


Chrissy Lee
Tampa, Florida


Chrissy Lee began her first term on the board during the 2021-2022 season and, during that term, served on the Strategic Planning, Legal and Legislative Committees. She has served on both her state and local boards for nearly 20 years, serving as vice president and president of the Monmouth County USBC. Prior to the merger, she served on both the Monmouth County USBC BA and WBA boards. She also served on both the New Jersey State USBC WBA and the New Jersey State USBC Boards of Directors. She has served as chairperson on many committees within the various associations. She recently was elected to serve as a director for the Greater Tampa USBC. She has served as a delegate to the USBC Annual Convention 12 times and has been a delegate to state conventions on 22 occasions. She’s worked as a preschool teacher for more than 25 years. On the lanes, she becamse the first woman to shoot 300 in the New Jersey State Travel League as well as the first woman to win the McManus Trophy. Presently, she participates in two leagues and bowls various tournaments in Florida. She was inducted into the Monmouth County USBC Hall of FAme in 2020.

Why are you qualified to serve on the USBC Board of Directors?: As I near the end of my first term on the USBC Board I have learned a great deal about the importance of building industry relationships that are built on patience, integrity, and positivity. I also have over 25 years of Local and State Association volunteer experience, which I believe is extremely important as a Delegate Director. Over my 30-year career as an Early Education Professional I have become a lifelong learner and my goal every day is to learn something new which, I believe, is extremely important. During my first term I have served on the Strategic Planning, Legal, and Legislative Committees, gaining valuable experience and knowledge on a larger scale.  This experience has allowed me to contribute to USBC’s mission of ensuring “A Future For The Sport”.  It has also allowed me to work with some of the most talented volunteers that our industry has to offer.

Matthew Voltz
Fargo, North Dakota


Matthew Voltz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Studies, Business Management from Granite State College and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Plymouth State University. He has extensive professional experience in finance and leadership positions and is currently the Finance Director for the city of Horace, North Dakota. Priot to that, he spent more than four years at Town and Country Credit Union in Fargo, North Dakota, where he worked his way up the ranks from Assistant Vice President - Contact Center to Assistant Vice President - Member Services to Vice President - Member Services. Voltz has volunteered his time helping coach local youth bowling leagues and has served as a director for the Fargo/Moorhead USBC from 2022 to present and as its association manager from 2023 to present.

Why are you qualified to serve on the USBC Board of Directors?: My extensive professional experience in finance and leadership, commitment to the overall mission of USBC, and having the desire to continue to learn all I can qualifies me to serve on the Board of Directors. Having the opportunity to positively impact the sport of bowling is something I couldn’t pass up. This is an immense responsibility, and I won’t let the membership down.
