Bowling without boundaries

XBowling App Allows Bowlers Around the World to Play Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere

ARLINGTON, TX –
The International Bowling Campus announced today an official partnership with Sports Challenge Network, creators of the new social mobile bowling application: XBowling. The first-of-its-kind bowling app empowers bowlers to connect and compete using their smart phone devices among XBowling enabled centers locally, across the country and around the world. The app is designed for smart phones and smart devices (iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Android).

XBowling provides bowlers new, innovative ways to compete via the application: against themselves, in head-to-head competition with other XBowlers, in real-time or on-demand fashion. The app has multiple types of game specific challenges and event options for league and casual bowlers and will create new types of competition and social connections with other bowlers.

“The International Bowling Campus is embracing new and emerging technologies that will enhance the bowling experience and draw in the next generation to become lifelong bowlers,” said Stu Upson, Executive Director of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC). “XBowling’s application makes it possible for players across the world to compete against each other in real time and we see tremendous potential for this breakthrough technology to expand organized bowling.”

"Through this partnership with the International Bowling Campus and the leading entities in bowling, we are redefining the bowling experience. For the first time ever, bowlers can compete with players around the world, all through a simple and easy to use application that can be downloaded on their mobile device,” said Timothy J. Minard, Chairman and CEO of Sports Challenge Network, developer and distributor of the XBowling app.

“The development of the XBowling app is a breakthrough innovation for bowling. Through this new technology, we are forever changing the bowling experience by shattering geographic boundaries and making it possible for bowlers to see how they stack up against anyone, anywhere,” said Steve Johnson Executive Director of the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA).”

“The introduction of XBowling helps to usher in an exciting new era for our sport and we could not ask for a better partner than the Sports Challenge Network, a true leader and innovator in the space.”

As part of this year’s International Bowl Expo, June 27-28 at the Reno Sparks Convention Center, XBowling will be hosting a kiosk at the International Bowling Campus booth #557. Bowling center operators and proprietors are invited to visit the kiosk to view educational and XBowling-enabled gameplay videos, engage in hands-on device demonstrations (iPhones, iPads, Android) and learn more about integrating XBowling into their businesses.

The partnership with XBowling is enabling the International Bowling Campus to create new bowling and bowler experiences, programs and offerings that had not been possible until the emergence of this social mobile technology. XBowling will also expand and enhance the bowling experience via social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The XBowling app is available for download directly from the App Store and Google Play.
