A women's bowling pioneer, Gertrude Dornblaser was a WIBC charter member, and she served on WIBC's first Executive Committee. Dornblaser also won the first recorded women's "national tournament" in 1905, 11 years before WIBC was organized. She competed in 20 WIBC Championship Tournaments and won team-event titles in 1918 and 1920.
