Mitzi Herold devoted herself to promoting youth and women's bowling during more than 30 years of leadership in the South Carolina Women's Bowling Association and the WIBC. After 15 years as a member of the WIBC Board of Directors, Herold was named WIBC seventh vice president in 1989, and she advanced to WIBC fifth vice president in 1992. Herold was elected a WIBC member emerita in 1996.
