Alda Ashie Gonzalez made her debut as a member of the Puerto Rico national team in the 1966 Federation Internationale des Quilleurs American Zone Championships, when she earned a bronze medal in the team event. Gonzalez represented Puerto Rico in eight FIQ American Zone championships, four FIQ World Championships, two Pan American Games and six world cups.
