Asher won four eagles in USBC Open Championships competition and 10 PBA titles between the mid-1960s and mid-1980s. His first Open Championships title was in 1972 when he took the Classic doubles crown with Carmen Salvino. He added Classic team top spots in 1975 and 1976 with Munsingwear No. 2 and won all-events in 1985 with a 2,033 total. He also finished second in the 1969 USBC Masters.
