As a teenager in 1961, Miss Kuczynski was the first winner of the Alberta E. Crowe Star of Tomorrow award. Just four years later, she won the 1965 USBC Queens title and was named Bowler of the Year for her accomplishments. In 1962 and 1964, she won the BPAA doubles tournament with Joy Abel and in 1965 and 1966 was a member of the BPAA team tournament champion. On the women's professional tour, she won the 1964 National pro championship. Between 1963 and 1974, she recorded 15 other top five finishes in pro competition. Betty has the distinction of being all-American in two sports: bowling, selected by Bowlers Journal in 1965, and basketball, chosen by the Women's Basketball Association in 1956.
