Mary Mohacsi achieved success in amateur competition on the local, state, national and international levels. In 1984 Mohacsi was named the U.S. Olympic Committee's Bowling Athlete of the Year. In recognition of her achievements, she was invited to the White House to meet then-U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Vice President George H.W. Bush.
