One of the most popular women in professional bowling, Tish Johnson was recognized for her unique delivery and extraordinary talent. By the 2002 season, Johnson had earned 25 professional titles, including the 1982 Miami Open, the 1992 U.S. Women's Open and the 2002 Greater Pasadena Open. Johnson was twice named Player of the Year by the Professional Women's Bowling Association. She was the third professional bowler ever to bank more than $1 million in career earnings. In 1996, Johnson became the first woman ever to win a "megabucks" tournament, when she placed first in the Super Hoinke Classic. Johnson was named a USBC All-American six times and a Bowlers Journal All-American seven times. In 1998, she was inducted into the Women's Professional Bowling Hall of Fame.
