Inspiring Bowling Stories
Shawn Beam
Bowling is a lifelong sport that gives individuals of any ability the chance to compete and have fun with family and friends.
For Shawn Beam of Burleson, Texas, the chance to compete was something he strived for, and bowling provided that outlet.
Beam always has required the use of a wheelchair since suffering from a pinched nerve in his spine at birth, but that didn’t stop him from taking to the lanes OR making history.
In 2012, Beam became the first freehand wheelchair bowler to shoot a certified perfect game. Read more about his inspiring performance by clicking here.
Bill Fong
Bill Fong of Plano, Texas, is the owner of the highest three-game series in the Lone Star State, after starting a league session in January 2010 with 35 consecutive strikes.
