The International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame

With more than 5,000 years of bowling history under its roof, the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame in Arlington, Texas, is a destination every bowling enthusiast needs to have on their bucket list. 

The IBMHOF, which opened its doors in 2010 at the International Bowling Campus, houses the rich history of the sport as well as looks ahead at the future of bowling through interactive exhibits in the state-of-the-art facility. Visitors can trace the sport’s heritage from the ancient Egyptians to the latest and greatest advancements bowling is seeing today through photos, films, kiosks and much, much more.

As visitors make their way through the 18,000 square-foot facility, they will find the opportunity to have a hands-on experience as they take in bowling’s history. Guests will have the chance to search through the Hall of Fame and Hometown Heroics exhibits, examine bowling balls from different eras and even test their skills on a miniature bowling lane.

The IBMHOF also has branched out all the way to the famed National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada, as a satellite museum was opened in 2012 on the first floor of the 78-lane venue. The displays in the satellite museum are ever-changing, and the addition has been a popular destination for competitors at the USBC Open and Women’s Championships.
