Whether you’re picking up a new bowling ball for the upcoming season or buying some cleaner to freshen up an old one from your local pro shop, the products you’re purchasing have one thing in common – they have been approved for use in certified competition by USBC.

Same thing goes for the oil on the lanes. They just don’t throw motor oil in the machine! The conditioner used is approved by USBC.

How does a product earn that stamp of approval, though? A bowling ball isn’t approved just because it looks cool. It gets put through a vigorous testing process, and if it fails any step along the way, it is rejected.
