Amleto Monacelli won 19 Professional Bowlers Association Tour titles, including one major at the Touring Players Championship in 1989. He won the Japan Cup twice (1987, 1995), and in 2008, was No. 21 on the 50 Greatest Players in PBA History list. The Venezuelan won back-to-back PBA Player of the Year awards in 1989 and 1990 and has total PBA earnings of more than $2 million. He was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 1997. In 1999, Monacelli was ranked fourth among Venezuela's top athletes of the century.
