Bolt began her remarkable career in her mid-teens as a pig-tailed star in some of Chicago's best leagues during the 1950s. She went on to win seven USBC Women’s Championships titles in a span of 21 years, from 1958 to 1978. As a member of the famed Allgauer's Restaurant team, she led the fivesome to a record-tying four championships in 1958, 1961, 1964 and 1977. She also earned singles titles in 1959 and 1978, as well as the all-events crown in 1958. Consistently near the top of USBC Women’s Championships tournament lifetime average lists, Mrs. Bolt recorded a 30-year average of 189.
