Paula Carter's professional career included a singles event title with a 705 three-game series at the 1990 USBC Women's Championships. She earned two Women's U.S. Open titles in 1971 and 1975, and had top 10 finishes in the USBC Queens in 1971 and 1976. In 1971, Carter was named Bowler of the Year by the Bowling Writers Association of America and was also named to the Bowlers Journal All-American team. The left-hander's career statistics include three sanctioned 300 games, a 784 three-game series and 216 season average. Carter remained active following her competitive career in bowling as a bowling center proprietor in southern Florida.
