ESPN’s “30 for 30” Documentary on Pete Weber Debuts at Film Festivals
After months in the making, the ESPN “30 for 30” documentary about PBA Hall of Famer Pete Weber, “The Bad Boy of Bowling,” is making its debut at film festivals around the country on its way to a yet-to-be-announced premier as part of ESPN “30 for 30“ series.
“It's been a secret until now, but we are happy to announce that our film, The Bad Boy of Bowling, will be making its way into the world in the upcoming months,” said Bryan Storkel, director/producer with SideStilt Films. “The film tells the story of Pete Weber, the self-declared 'bad boy of bowling' and the first rock star of the sport.”
The film will make its formal debut at the Ashland Independent Film Festival in Ashland, Ore., April 10, 11, 12 and 13, followed by showings at IFF Boston April 22-29 and the San Francisco International Film Festival at Sundance Kabuki Cinemas April 25 and May 5. Additional film festival showings will be announced later. The ESPN “30 for 30” premier also will be announced later.
