Louisiana bowler leads all-events at 2025 USBC Women’s Championships

LAS VEGAS – Eula Ceasar of Sulphur, Louisiana, came out to Las Vegas to have an enjoyable time at the 2025 United States Bowling Congress Women’s Championships. She never expected to take the overall lead in Sapphire All-Events.

For Ceasar, it was a dream come true and a very special experience to be part of, especially with it being her 10th overall appearance at the tournament.

She finished with a 1,557 total over her nine games Friday and Saturday at the South Point Bowling Plaza to take the lead by 19 pins. Marcia Davis of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, previously led Sapphire All-Events with 1,538.

“I am very shocked that I have taken the lead in Sapphire All-Events,” Ceasar said. “I was just coming to the tournament to have fun.”

She was very consistent throughout her two days of bowling. She started off her team event with a total score of 508. She followed up her team series with a total score of 485 in doubles.

Caesar saved her best series for last, as she dominated in singles. She fired her best game of the week with 224 in Game 1. In Game 2, she bowled above her average again with a total score of 153. She closed with another successful score in Game 3, finishing with 187 for a 564 series to also take over third place in Sapphire Singles.

Davis leads Sapphire Singles with a 595 series.

Ceasar was surrounded by friends and teammates after taking the lead.

“It means a lot to me, because they’re very supportive of me and we’re like family,” Ceasar said. “I look forward every year to coming to this fantastic event.”

Ceasar’s favorite part of the tournament is just bowling well. She did just that with a fantastic showing this week at the South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas.

“I also love meeting different bowlers from different states,” Ceasar said. “It’s fun socializing with new people and everyone’s very friendly. This tournament feels like home.”

The Sapphire Division features bowlers with entering averages of 135 and below.
