The Forty Frame Game returns alongside 2025 USBC Women’s Championships
April 28, 2025

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Forty Frame Game will return to the national stage in 2025 at the South Point Bowling Plaza and serve as a side event to the United States Bowling Congress Women’s Championships in Las Vegas.
Registration now is open at BOWL.com/FortyFrameGame, and the event – known as the world’s most unique singles bowling tournament – will be contested several times each week between May 3 – July 6. Entries will only be available to participants competing at the 2025 USBC Women’s Championships, which got underway April 26 and is scheduled to conclude July 6 at the Bowling Plaza.
Squads for the 2025 event will be available every other day at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., utilizing lanes inside the Bowling Plaza not in use for those squads at the Women’s Championships. With limited squads in 2025, early registration is encouraged to secure your spot.
The Forty Frame Game also is scheduled to return alongside the USBC Open Championships in 2026.
Acquired by USBC in 2023, The Forty Frame Game blends creative scoring – through no-tap frames, mulligans, bonus pins and other fun challenges – with prize-winning potential over 40 continuous frames. There’s also a variety of optional side events available for each entry to earn additional prize money.
While the core of the format remains the same to those familiar with the popular tournament, several updates have been made for the relaunch.
The entry fee for The Forty Frame Game is $70, with 50% of the fee going directly into the prize fund. The prize fund includes Payday Frames, Bingo-Bango-Bongo and bonus side pots like Woof-Woof Strikes, Sweep It Clean, Big Whammy and Kingpin Cash.
Bowlers also will be able to enter in additional side events for $10 each, with 100% of the entry fee going back to the prize fund. The side events include Gray Pay, 175 & Under and Scratch divisions.
The event will be contested on a modified house shot and feature a handicap format based on 90% of 220, multiplied by four.
Participants in 2025 will convert their entering average at the Women’s Championships to a Standard Average to determine their average at The Forty Frame Game.
All prize money, including winnings from the bonuses and optional side events, will be distributed at the conclusion of the tournament. There will be no on-site payouts at The Forty Frame Game in 2025.
The Forty Frame Game has been developed in full coordination with Brunswick Sync scoring software, which supports the game’s unique structure and interactive experience. Additional information regarding the potential for licensing the software will be shared at a later date.
