Josie Barnes of Hermitage, Tennessee, started her second term on the board with the 2021-2022 season. An associate head coach for the Vanderbilt University women’s bowling team, she was a two-time NCAA Player of the Year and was a first-team All-American and first-team Academic All-American at Vanderbilt. She led Vanderbilt to the NCAA title in 2007, earning Most Valuable Player honors. In 2013, she became the first bowler inducted into the Vanderbilt Athletic Hall of Fame. She is a nine-time member of Team USA (2012-2013, 2015-2021) and was a five-time member of Junior Team USA. She has won more than a dozen medals in international competition. As a youth bowler, she had four top-12 finishes at the Junior Gold Championships. She was the 2006 Alberta E. Crowe Star of Tomorrow Award recipient and also was selected the Illinois Star of Tomorrow that year. She competes on the PWBA Tour and has won four titles, including the 2021 U.S. Women's Open for her first major championship.
