ARLINGTON, Texas - After two days of qualifying and match play at the 2019 Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship, Jackson State and Prairie View A&M have advanced to the finals and will bowl for the title Sunday.

The championship match will take place at the International Training and Research Center at 2 p.m. Eastern and will air on ESPNU on March 31 at 10:30 p.m. Eastern.

The winner of the SWAC Championship receives an automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Women’s Bowling Championship tournament that will take place April 11-13 in Cleveland.

Jackson State, which entered Saturday's best-of-seven Baker double-elimination match-play bracket as the No. 1 seed, defeated 2017 champion Alabama State (4-3) and rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Southern (4-3) to end the day as the only undefeated team in the six-team field.

The Lady Tigers, the 2018 runner-up, return to the finals for the third time in four years and will face Prairie View A&M in a rematch of the 2016 finals where they captured their first and only tournament championship.

Prairie View A&M, who received a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed after Friday's qualifying rounds, were swept 4-0 by Southern to open match play which sent them to the elimination bracket.

From the elimination bracket, the Lady Panthers knocked off defending champion Texas Southern (4-3), Alabama State (4-3) and Southern (4-2) to advance to the championship round.

Prairie View A&M will have to defeat Jackson State twice in Sunday's final at the ITRC to claim their fourth championship in eight years.
