The Judson women and McKendree men recorded victories last weekend at the Boilermaker Classic in Lafayette, Indiana.

The event featured eight women's varsity teams and 12 men's varsity programs. Teams bowled five traditional games and 16 Baker games, with total pinfall determining the champion in each division.

In the women's division, Marian-Indiana held the lead in the traditional block by 50 pins over Judson. Judson was able to chip away at the deficit during its Baker block, and the Eagles were able to take home the win by 18 pins over Lourdes with a 7,089 total.

Lourdes moved from third to second in Baker competition, finishing with 7,071. Marian-Indiana finished third with 7,043.

Judson's Chloe Siezega was the only student-athlete in the women's division to average more than 200 for five games during the traditional block, finishing with a 1,004 total (200.8 average) to earn the top spot.

Siezega was followed in the individual standings by Marian-Indiana's Andrea Ziegler (995), Alexandria Hahn of Lourdes (947), Aurora's Rachel Clifton (925) and Judson's Marisa Garcia (915).

On the men's side, McKendree posted big scores in Game 1 (1,112) and Game 3 (1,091) to set the early pace during the traditional block, building an 88-pin lead over Marian-Indiana. The Bearcats were able to extend their advantage during Baker competition, claiming the win with an 8,240 total.

Marian-Indiana finished second with 8,117, and Judson was third with 7,848.

McKendree had three student-athletes in the top five of the individual standings, including tournament leader Jorge Rodriguez-Rosas. Rodriguez-Rosas led the way with a 1,191 total, a 238.2 average.

Marian-Indiana's Jeffery Mann was second with 1,167, and Alex Wiles of Vincennes was third with 1,103. McKendree teammates Brendan Carney (1,087) and Peyton Smith (1,076) rounded out the top five.

In other collegiate action:

- At the Valpo Bowling Classic in Dyer, Indiana, the Lincoln Memorial women claimed the bracket win over Lewis, 4.5-1.5.

- At the Virginia Union Invitational in Glen Allen, Virginia, the Morgan State women posted a 4-2 victory in the title match against Coppin State.

- At the Adelphi University "Dezy Strong" Classic in Coram, New York, the Vanderbilt women bounced back from an early deficit against Youngstown State to win the final four games in the championship match and record the 4-2 win.

- At the Rattler Invitational in Pensacola, Florida, the Alabama State women picked up a 4-1 victory in the title match against Emmanuel.

- At the Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge in Lawrence, Kansas (men), and Topeka, Kansas (women), the Wichita State men and women collected the bracket wins.

- At the American Heartland Bowling Association No. 1 in Canton, Michigan, the Indiana Tech women rolled to victory, while Wright State edged Indiana Tech in the men's division by 21 pins to record the win.

- At the American Heartland Bowling Association No. 2 in Canton, Michigan, the Indiana Tech men and Lawrence Tech women finished the weekend at the top of the standings.

- At the Five Seasons Classic in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the St. Ambrose women and men were victorious in bracket competition.

- At the SLO Town Showdown in Santa Maria, California, the Arizona State men paced the field.

- At the SLO Rollers Tournament in Santa Maria, California, the California-Davis men concluded the weekend with a win.
