ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I have been coaching bowling since 2007. I have been a USBC Silver coach since March of 2020. Following in my father's footsteps, I coached at North Canton High School from 2007-2011. I opened my own business in 2011 but got back into coaching one year later in 2012. I led the North Canton program from 2012 until 2018, when I started the Walsh University bowling program from scratch. I led that program from 2018 through 2023 when my wife and I had our third child. In 2007-2008, I led our JV program to its first ever undefeated season in program history. 2008-2011 I was the head girls coach at North Canton and led them to the section tournament for the first time ever in 2008 and continued to be a staple there until I stepped down. Coming back in 2012 through 2018, I led both the girls and boys programs at North Canton and never had a record worse than 11-6 in any season from either team. I had six athletes shoot 300. One 300 was a high school boys Baker game. One athlete has the school record for two games with 579. In college, my staff and I were able to coach several tournament championship teams. We were two-time girls conferences champions in the OBC conference. Both men and women in college reached a ranking of 20th in the country, within three years of the program starting. We were four-time postseason qualifiers in my six years as a brand new program. Most of the athletes I coached over the years are now high school and college coaches themselves. I wanted them to be able to leave my program and teach the next generation. That is my biggest joy in coaching - giving back. One of the ways I give back is I am also the Commissioner of the Stark County High School Bowling Conference. I have been in this role twice. First from 2011-2021, 2022-2023 I was behind the scenes and taking back over in 2023 and am still actively doing this position. Myself personally, I come from a long line of bowlers on both sides of the family. I was on the lanes pushing a ball at 2 years old. I bowl in USBC-certified leagues still to this day with family and friends. I used to look at bowling and just try to figure out how to win the next match. Now that I am a father and my kids are doing this, I look at bowling as how can I give back to the next generation. I enjoy watching the "ah ha" moment in a bowler's eyes when all of a sudden it clicks.
