March 15-20, 2011 — The 9th Catalonia Open – Galasa takes place at the friendly 14-lane Bowling Pedralbes, Barcelona, March 15-20. This will be the fourth stage of the European Bowling Tour, a silver-rated event, offering a first prize of €6,000 from an impressive €44,700 prize fund, with prize money paid down to 48th place.

The field this year has an incredible total of players representing 25 nations, which must be something very close to a record.Defending champion is Thomas Larsen from Denmark who beat three-time WBW Bowler of the Year Dominic Barrett from England by six pins in the title match, the second successive time that Barrett finished in the runner-up position.
