LAUSANNE – The World Bowling Junior Championships Finals on March 23 was broadcast globally thanks to new media rights relationships in 10 key markets, making the inaugural event for 13 to 18 year olds accessible to viewers in the following countries via mainstream broadcasters:

France (VIA Reseau)

China (Tencent),

Hong Kong, (i-Cable),

Indonesia (TVRI),

Singapore (StarHub)

Malaysia (Astro),

Mongolia (SPS HD),

Thailand (TrueVisions),

Vietnam  (VTV Cab)

BeIn Sports (Turkey)

U.S. viewers were able to watch via USBC’s Bowl.com, while the rest of the world enjoyed the finals, held on specially installed lanes inside the Institut du Judo in the center of Paris, via the Olympic Channel.

The broadcast rights for the finals were distributed by Reddentes Sports, a sports consultancy group who were appointed last year to oversee the media rights for the World Junior Bowling Championships, while qualifying rounds were available on the World Bowling YouTube channel and received much attention with an increase of more than 170 000 views and a total watch time of 1.2 Million minutes.

World Bowling’s Instagram channel also proved popular and featured highlights from the electric atmosphere inside the Institut du Judo.  That platform received nearly a 10% increase in followers from just the one event.

World Bowling CEO Kevin Dornberger said, “We appreciate the support of our broadcasters and online fans and are very pleased that our events continue to grow in global interest. This is a great sign for the sport of bowling.”

Fans who missed the live action will be able to watch the event on the World Bowling Youtube channel this week as well as a selection of event highlights on Facebook.  For event results please see the website:
