The Bowlers Journal Championships gives competitive bowlers of all skill levels the chance to get a few more games in and potentially earn some additional prize money. The Bowlers Journal Championships offers a variety of divisions and side events to make it fun and exciting for everyone. The event also is contested on the same oil pattern used for doubles/singles competition at the USBC Open Championships.
All squads for the 2026 Bowlers Journal Championships will be contested on the fourth floor of the National Bowling Stadium, toward the low end of the facility.
Squad times (all times local): 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m., 8 p.m., 11 p.m.
The entry fee for the 2026 Bowlers Journal Championships is $80 for a singles event and $80 per team ($40 for each bowler) for a doubles event. A singles entry also comes with a one-year subscription to Bowlers Journal International magazine. The reentry fee for singles is $70 (does not include additional subscription). There is no discount for reentry in doubles. The Jackpot Trio – an optional side event that includes the Clean Frame Jackpot, High Game Jackpot and Strike-It-Rich Jackpot – has a $20 entry fee. An entrant may only enter each event in which they qualify eight times. Read the tournament rules below for additional information.
