Dates changed for 2021 Super Senior Classic and USBC Senior Masters

ARLINGTON, Texas - The United States Bowling Congress and Professional Bowlers Association announced Friday that the dates have been changed for the 2021 Super Senior Classic and USBC Senior Masters.

The events will be held consecutively in the fall as part of the West Coast swing on the 2021 PBA50 Tour schedule and still will take place at the Sam's Town Bowling Center in Las Vegas as previously scheduled.

The Super Senior Classic will be contested first, taking place Sept. 9-13. The Senior Masters then will take the spotlight from Sept. 13-19.

The two tournaments have been held together in the same host city each year since 2015 and went on to find a long-term home at Sam's Town, beginning in 2016.

Since settling in at the Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, the premier events for USBC members age 60 and older and 50 and older, respectively, have been held in early June and scheduled to coincide with other nearby PBA50 events.

That tradition will remain alive in 2021, as the shift in timing also includes the 2021 Suncoast PBA Senior U.S. Open, which will be held Aug. 29-Sept. 3 at the Suncoast Bowling Center in Las Vegas and the PBA50 Northern California Classic in Brentwood, California, from Sept. 5-8.

"In working with the PBA and our host centers in Las Vegas, moving the event to the fall makes sense because of the progress we're seeing in terms of improving conditions for event operations," USBC Executive Director Chad Murphy said. "We also have seen a great response to holding these tournaments close together, both in timing and location, and we want to continue to make it as convenient as possible for our members to bowl in all the top-tier events."
