ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: With 20-plus years of service in the United States Army, Marines and Navy, Coach Dean Buchanan is no stranger to what strong leadership looks like. He has used his years of experience to cultivate a well-rounded training program involving not only the physical game but lane play, mental game and necessary values to uphold to be successful. His certifications include three graduation certificates from the Kegel Master’s Program (KCMP) and a USBC Silver Coaching certification. In 2019, as a Major in the U.S. Army, Buchanan coached the All Army Men’s Team to win the Men’s Team Challenge at the 2019 Armed Forces Bowling Championships. He is also a three-time Greater Seattle Youth Boy’s All-Star Team coach. Coach Buchanan is no stranger to competition. He competed on the All Army-Men’s Team for two years, winning the Army singles title in his first year. He also competed on the PBA Regional Tour, where he had a PBA 300 and was honored as the Pat Patterson Award Recipient for the PBA Northwest Region in 2008. Due to his dedication to youth bowlers, Coach Buchanan has assisted many in transitioning into the collegiate level, several of whom received full or partial scholarships.
