2011 Hoosier Classic champions crowned

INDIANAPOLIS - Robert Morris-Illinois claimed the women's title, while Morehead State took home the men's title at the 42nd annual Backhaul Direct Hoosier Classic at Western Bowl on Sunday.

Robert Morris defeated Central Florida, 3-2, to win the women's championship, while Morehead State took down Lindenwood, 3-1, to top the men's field.

In the women's title match, Robert Morris won the final two games, 214-181 and 203-158, to claim the event.

To advance to the championship, Central Florida defeated Newman, 3-1, in the semifinals, while Robert Morris knocked off Wichita State, 3-2.

In the men's final, Morehead State beat Lindenwood, 202-183, in the opening game, dropped Game 2, 206-190, and came back to win the next two, 213-180 and 190-184 to claim the title.

Morehead State defeated Webber International, 3-0, in the semifinals, while Lindenwood took down Newman, 3-1.
