A guide to YOUR championships for 2011

Hello bowlers!

The USBC Open Championships and USBC Women's Championships are here again, so it's time to start thinking about how to make this your most memorable year on the lanes.

With a little preparation and planning, you can make sure the trip to your national tournament is a successful one and we want to help make the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Bowlers from across the globe will be competing at the 2011 Open Championships in Reno, Nev., and the Women's Championships in Syracuse, N.Y. This guide has all the information you will need to be prepared for each event before and after hitting the lanes.

These two national events share a combined 200 years of history and tradition and give bowlers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to showcase their skills on the biggest stages in bowling. Each year, countless competitors get their turn in the spotlight and this year it could be your turn!

Leading up to your appearance on the championship lanes, your team captain should fill you in on the rules, requirements, dress code, schedule and any other details you may need along the way.

But whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned veteran, there's always something new and exciting to experience. We're here to help make the most of your time in the host cities, so please take a few minutes to look through the guide.
