Ace Mitchell Bowlers Mart has acquired Bowling Supply Company and Colonial Bowling Supply, continuing the trend of industry consolidation in general and among bowling product distribution companies in particular.

In an announcement sent to customers, BSC and Colonial noted that the combined companies will be able to “provide one- to two-day service to about 38 states,” with distribution through four warehouses in Deer Park, N.Y.; Cuyahoga Falls (Akron), Ohio; Nashville, Tenn., and Orlando, Fla.

The companies also assured customers that they would be dealing with “the same people that have serviced you, in some cases for over 40 years,” an assertion confirmed by Ace Mitcbell’s Jeff Mraz.

“We do plan on keeping everyone and all of the locations,” said Mraz. “Tom Palmer was a good friend of ours for many years and he wanted to retire.”

One thing that will change is how customers order online.  It’s expected that the BSC and Colonial Bowling Supply I-Store will remain functional for a few weeks, after which customers will be moved to acemitchell.com.
