Association supply orders
To ensure all associations have the supplies needed to properly conduct their upcoming league workshops, USBC has shipped all paper supplies (membership applications, high score award applications, etc.) to associations that placed their order between June 5 and August 7.
We will then begin shipping the special achievement awards in the order they were received. Associations that placed an order during that timeframe can expect to receive their paper shipments within the next week, if they have not already been received.
Association Insurance information
We have been informed that associations in the field have not received a renewal form for their association insurance policies. The providers used last year will be the same providers for this season. Lupke Rice will continue to offer General Liability coverage while Frost Insurance will offer the Officer and Director insurance.
Associations that need to renew their policies can go to BOWL.com/associations and select the “Forms and Manuals” tab. There will then be a tab for “Insurance” and applications can be printed from there.
Association bank account transactions
Associations will notice that USBC has sent a transaction to their bank account with a label of “prenote”. With the installation of a new Customer Relationship Management system at USBC Headquarters, one of the tests that are run involves a transaction to the association’s bank account. This transaction will be a zero dollar amount transaction. However, we felt it necessary to inform associations so they would understand the purpose of the transaction and understand that no money is actually being taken from the bank accounts.
Association manager term limits in WinLABs
It is important for all association managers to remember that they are hired/appointed by their board of directors and they have no term limits unless a contract has been signed. Association mangers should make sure they edit the term limits under the “Association Properties” tab within WinLABs. Since WinLABs requires a term end date, a random date in the future can be used.
This information is how USBC Headquarters contacts local associations, and it is important that it be updated and accurate. If it is not updated, the association will show up in our database as not having an association manager.
In addition, it is important for associations to verify that the adult dues section on the “Association Properties” tab of WinLABs is correct. This information directly links the association’s dues to the membership page of BOWL.com, so if a member purchases online the local dues that are sent to the association is correct.
Awards page of BOWL.com
The Awards page of BOWL.com has been updated and now includes all award applications to be used for the 2012-13 season. Included on this page are 18 printable certificates to commemorate those achievements that aren’t included in the USBC Award program, as well as pictures of the awards that will be used for the upcoming season.

Final averages
Associations should be sure to enter all final averages entered as the leagues are being completed. With the introduction of composite averages being shown on BOWL.com, all averages, regardless of the amount of games bowled, should be entered into WinLABs.
