Association Leaders Facebook group
The Association Development team has created a Facebook group designed for association officials to discuss operations and best practices for bowling associations. We urge all leaders to join this group and check in as often as possible. It is a great avenue to share what has and hasn’t worked for associations across the country and a way to discuss ideas with more than just your local or state board.

To join this Facebook group, please click here. Once on the group page, each person will have to go to the top right and select “Join Group”. Please note that you must be signed into Facebook prior to requesting access to the group. Feel free to pass along the group page address to your board:

Summer supply orders
Associations soon can start ordering supplies for fall season. Starting June 4, all orders placed online will contain supplies for the 2012-13 season. Any orders needed for the 2011-12 season should be placed online no later than June 3. Should the need arise for 2011-12 supplies after June 3, associations will need to call the Bowling Information Center at 1-800-514-2695.

Once an order is placed for the 2012-13 season, the association will receive an estimated ship date (when the order will ship from USBC Headquarters, not a shipment arrival date).

For those associations that did not attend the 2012 USBC Convention, Executive Director Stu Upson announced we will no longer be award magnets after this season. Associations with a surplus of magnets may be able to contact associations nearby and see if they have a need for any additional magnets.

Championship tournament dates and 2013 USBC Convention
For delegates and guests planning to attend the 2013 USBC Convention, USBC has reserved a number of squad times for both the days leading up to and after Convention for those that wish to bowl the USBC Open Championships, Women’s Championships or both. The number of slots available is limited, so association officials are encouraged to login to our new online registration system and reserve their squads today.

Anyone having trouble with tournament reservations can contact Tournament Support at 1-800-514-2695.
