If you watched the Mark Roth-Marshall Holman Doubles Championship show on Sunday, you know how emotional an experience it was for Matt Ogle, who won his first title in his first career TV appearance on that show alongside doubles partner Sean Rash. But what you probably don’t know is the story of the personal devastation that partly was behind those emotions. Matt Ogle was not always the two-handed player you saw on that show; he’d been a traditional one-handed bowler up until 2006, when a debilitating and painful physical ailment pushed him to the point that he had given up on his dream of someday bowling a PBA Tour telecast.
